Ingredients

¼ cup all-purpose flour

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits (or homemade)

1 tbsp butter (if needed for extra fat)
Instructions
1. Brown the Sausage

In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned (5–7 mins).

If using lean sausage, add 1 tbsp butter for extra fat.

Do not drain—keep the drippings for gravy!
2. Make the Gravy

Sprinkle flour over cooked sausage, stirring for 1–2 mins to cook off raw flour taste.

Slowly pour in milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Simmer for 3–5 mins, stirring until thick and creamy.
3. Assemble & Bake

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Pour gravy into a 9-inch pie dish or cast-iron skillet.

Top with raw biscuit dough (torn into pieces or left whole).

Bake 15–20 mins until biscuits are golden and cooked through.
4. Serve
