Pork Chop Supreme 🐖✨

Juicy, tender pork chops smothered in a creamy mushroom and onion gravy—a comforting one-pan wonder ready in 30 minutes!

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 30 mins

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops (¾-inch thick)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream (or whole milk for lighter gravy)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

(Optional: 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water for thicker gravy)

Instructions

1. Season & Sear Pork Chops:

  1. Pat chops dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chops 3-4 mins per side until golden. Remove and set aside.

2. Sauté Veggies:

  1. In the same skillet, add onion and mushrooms. Cook 5 mins until softened.
  2. Stir in garlic and cook 1 min until fragrant.

3. Make the Gravy:

  1. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer 2 mins.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add cream, Worcestershire, and Dijon. Stir well.
  3. (For thicker gravy: Add cornstarch slurry and simmer 1-2 mins.)

4. Finish & Serve:

  1. Return pork chops to the skillet, spooning gravy over them.
  2. Cover and simmer 5-7 mins until chops reach 145°F (63°C) internally.
  3. Garnish with parsley and serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Pro Tips

✔ Don’t overcrowd the pan—sear chops in batches if needed.
✔ Rest the chops 5 mins before serving for juiciness.
✔ Swap mushrooms for bell peppers or celery for variation.

Serving Ideas

  • 🥔 Classic: With garlic mashed potatoes and green beans.
  • 🍝 Comfort twist: Over buttered egg noodles.
  • 🌱 Low-carb: With roasted Brussels sprouts or cauliflower mash.

This dish is rich, flavorful, and perfect for weeknights! Let me know if you’d like a dairy-free or slow-cooker version. 😊
