Peanut butter trifle

This decadent, no-bake peanut butter trifle is packed with layers of creamy peanut butter mousse, chocolate pudding, bananas, whipped cream, and crushed cookies—perfect for parties or a rich dessert fix!


Ingredients

Peanut Butter Mousse Layer:

  • 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

Chocolate Pudding Layer:

  • 2 (3.4 oz) pkgs instant chocolate pudding

  • 3 cups cold milk

Other Layers:

  • 1 box chocolate brownies (baked & cubed) or chocolate cake chunks

  • 2-3 bananas, sliced

  • 1½ cups crushed Oreos or peanut butter cookies

  • Whipped cream for topping

  • Mini Reese’s cups, chopped (for garnish)

  • Chocolate syrup (for drizzling)


Instructions

  1. Make the Peanut Butter Mousse:

    • Beat cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

    • Gently fold in whipped topping until fully combined. Set aside.

  2. Prepare the Chocolate Pudding:

    • Whisk pudding mix + milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Let sit 5 mins.

  3. Assemble the Trifle:

    • Layer 1: Half of the brownie/cake chunks in the bottom of a trifle dish.

    • Layer 2: Half of the banana slices.

    • Layer 3: Half of the peanut butter mousse.

    • Layer 4: Half of the chocolate pudding.

    • Layer 5: Sprinkle half of the crushed cookies.

    • Repeat layers once more.

  4. Final Touches:

    • Top with whipped cream, extra crushed cookies, Reese’s cups, and a chocolate drizzle.

    • Chill for at least 4 hours (or overnight) for best flavor.
