Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken Recipe

Servings: 2
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (Italian-seasoned or plain)

  • 1 tbsp dried parsley

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • ¼ cup olive oil (for frying)

  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Chicken:

    • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness (about ½-inch thick) for even cooking.

    • Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Make the Coating:

    • In a shallow dish, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. Coat the Chicken:

    • Press each chicken breast firmly into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.

  4. Pan-Fry the Chicken:

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

    • Once hot, add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp should reach 165°F).

  5. Add Cheese & Melt:

    • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over each chicken breast.

    • Cover the skillet for 1-2 minutes to let the cheese melt.

  6. Serve & Enjoy!

    • Serve hot with a side of marinara sauce (for dipping) and a fresh salad or pasta.

Tips for the Best Results:

✔ Use freshly grated Parmesan for better flavor and texture.
✔ For extra crispiness, double-coat the chicken (dip in beaten egg first, then breadcrumb mix).
✔ Baking Option: Bake at 375°F for 20-25 mins instead of frying for a lighter version.

This Parmesan Chicken is crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor—just like the Longhorn Steakhouse version! Would you like any side dish recommendations to go with it? 😊
