1-Minute Chocolate Mug Cake ☕🍫

The fastest, fluffiest single-serving dessert! No eggs, no fuss—just rich, molten chocolate cake ready in 60 seconds.

Prep Time: 2 mins | Cook Time: 1 min | Total Time: 3 mins

Servings: 1 (but you’ll want another!)

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp milk (or almond milk)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (or melted butter)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips (optional, for melty pockets)

(Optional toppings: Ice cream, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar)

Instructions

1. Mix the Batter:

  1. In a 12-oz microwave-safe mug, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add milk, oil, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips (if using).

2. Microwave:

  • Cook on high for 60-70 seconds* (start with 50 sec if your microwave is powerful).
  • Cake should rise and look set on top but stay moist inside.

3. Serve Immediately:

  • Top with ice cream or eat straight from the mug!

Pro Tips

✔ Don’t overmix—just stir until no dry spots remain.
✔ Adjust time based on your microwave (some need 50 sec, others 90 sec).
✔ Double the recipe in a large mug for a shareable treat.

Variations

  • Peanut Butter: Swirl 1 tbsp into the batter before cooking.
  • Mocha: Add ½ tsp instant coffee to the dry mix.
  • Vegan: Use plant-based milk and maple syrup instead of sugar.

This cake is dangerously easy—perfect for midnight cravings or a quick dessert fix! Let me know if you’d like a protein-packed or gluten-free version. 😉

(Microwave wattages vary; adjust time as needed to avoid dryness.)*
