Servings: 2
Ingredients
Main:
-
1 salmon fillet (6–8 oz), skin-on or off
-
8–10 large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tail-on for presentation)
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt & black pepper to taste
-
Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
-
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Garlic Butter Sauce:
-
4 tbsp unsalted butter
-
4 garlic cloves, minced
-
2 tbsp lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
-
½ tsp paprika (smoked or sweet)
-
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
-
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Prep the Seafood:
-
Pat salmon and shrimp dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
2. Sear the Salmon & Shrimp:
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Add salmon (skin-side down if using skin) and cook 3–4 minutes until golden. Flip and cook 2–3 minutes more. Transfer to a plate.
-
In the same skillet, add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside with salmon.
3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
-
Reduce heat to medium-low. Melt butter, then add garlic, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t let garlic burn!).
-
Stir in lemon juice and parsley.
4. Combine & Serve:
-
Return salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning sauce over them. Warm through 1 minute.
-
Garnish with extra parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
