Fluffy Yogurt and chocolate chip pancake

Extra tender, slightly tangy, and loaded with melty chocolate chips—these pancakes are a breakfast dream!


Ingredients (Makes 8-10 pancakes)

  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 large egg

  • ¾ cup (180g) plain yogurt (Greek or regular)

  • ¼ cup milk (adjust for thickness)

  • 1 tbsp melted butter (or oil)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup chocolate chips (mini or regular)

  • Butter/oil for cooking


Instructions

1. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together:
flour + sugar + baking powder + baking soda + salt.

2. Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the egg, then add:
yogurt + milk + melted butter + vanilla. Mix until smooth.

3. Make the Batter

  • Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients just until combined (a few lumps are okay!).

  • Stir in chocolate chips.

4. Cook the Pancakes

  • Heat a skillet over medium-low heat; grease lightly with butter/oil.

  • Pour ¼ cup batter per pancake. Cook until bubbles form (~2 mins), then flip and cook another 1-2 mins.

5. Serve Warm

  • Top with maple syrup, extra yogurt, or banana slices!


Tips for Perfection

🔥 Keep heat medium-low—yogurt batter browns faster.
🍯 Add a swirl of honey to the batter for extra sweetness.
🍓 Mix-ins: Try blueberries or chopped nuts instead of chocolate.
