Posted on May 25, 2025

creamy, zesty, and no-bake Key Lime Pie Trifle—a deconstructed twist on the classic dessert, perfect for parties or a refreshing treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

  • ½ cup fresh lime juice (about 4-5 key limes or regular limes)

  • Zest of 2 limes

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup heavy cream (whipped to stiff peaks)

  • 1½ cups crushed graham crackers (or shortbread cookies)

  • Optional: Extra lime slices or zest for garnish

Instructions (15 mins + chilling):

  1. Make the filling:

    • Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add condensed milk, lime juice, lime zest, and vanilla. Mix until creamy.

    • Gently fold in the whipped cream until fully combined.

  2. Layer the trifle:

    • In a trifle dish or glasses, alternate layers:
      1st layer: Crushed graham crackers
2nd layer: Key lime cream mixture
      Repeat (ending with cream).

  3. Chill & serve:

    • Refrigerate at least 2 hours (or overnight) to set.

    • Garnish with extra lime zest or crumbs before serving.

Why It’s Awesome:

✅ No baking needed—just mix, layer, and chill!
✅ Tangy & sweet with a crunchy cookie contrast.
✅ Make-ahead friendly—great for entertaining.

Tip: For individual servings, use mason jars or parfait glasses! Add a dollop of whipped cream on top for extra flair. 🍈🥄

Want a lighter version? Swap heavy cream for Greek yogurt (less fluffy but still creamy)! 😊
