Cinnamon Roll Focaccia 🍞✨

A buttery, fluffy hybrid of cinnamon rolls and focaccia—swirled with cinnamon sugar and topped with creamy glaze!

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 3½ cups (440g) all-purpose flour

  • 1¼ cups (300ml) warm milk *(110°F/45°C)*

  • 2¼ tsp (7g) instant yeast (1 packet)

  • ¼ cup (50g) sugar

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ cup (60g) melted butter

  • 1 egg

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • ½ cup (115g) softened butter

  • ¾ cup (150g) brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar

  • 2-3 tbsp milk

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. Activate yeast: Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 mins until frothy.

  2. Knead dough: Add flour, salt, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a sticky dough forms.

  3. First rise: Cover and let rise 1-2 hours until doubled.

2. Assemble the Swirl

  1. Roll out dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle (~12×18 inches).

  2. Spread softened butter evenly, then sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.

  3. Roll tightly into a log, then cut into 8-10 slices.

3. Second Rise & Bake

  1. Arrange slices in a greased 9×13-inch pan, slightly overlapping.

  2. Press down gently to create a focaccia-like shape. Let rise 30 mins.

  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 mins until golden.

4. Glaze & Serve

  • Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze while warm.

Tips

🔥 Extra gooey: Add ½ cup chopped pecans or raisins to the swirl.
⏳ Overnight option: Refrigerate after shaping; bake the next day.
🍯 Caramel twist: Swap glaze for salted caramel sauce.

Breakfast, brunch, or dessert—this is a showstopper! 😍

(Pair with coffee for the ultimate treat!)
