Ingredients

- ½ cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp milk (or heavy cream)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ž cup (95g) all-purpose flour (heat-treated*)
- Ÿ tsp salt
- ½ cup (90g) mini chocolate chips
For the Pastry Twists:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 2 tbsp coarse sugar (for sprinkling)
(Heat-treat flour: Microwave on high for 1 min, stirring every 15 sec, until 160°F/71°C.)*
Instructions
1. Make the Edible Cookie Dough:
- Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in milk and vanilla.
- Stir in heat-treated flour and salt, then fold in chocolate chips. Chill 15 mins.
2. Assemble the Twists:
- Roll out puff pastry into a 10×12-inch rectangle.
- Spread cookie dough evenly over half the pastry (lengthwise). Fold the other half over, sealing edges.
- Cut into 12 strips. Twist each strip 3-4 times, then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
3. Bake & Serve:
- Brush twists with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 mins until golden.
- Cool slightlyâdrizzle with melted chocolate if desired!
