1 tbsp smoked paprika
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
Pasta & Sauce:
-
8 oz penne or rigatoni (or gluten-free pasta)
-
3 cups beef broth (or water + 1 bouillon cube)
-
½ cup BBQ sauce (smoky or honey-flavored)
-
2 tbsp honey
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Toppings (Optional):
-
Shredded cheddar cheese
-
Sliced green onions

Fresh cilantro
🔥 Instructions:
1. Sear the Steak:
-
Toss steak with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
-
Heat olive oil in a large pot/Dutch oven over high heat.
-
Sear steak for 2 mins per side until browned (it’ll finish cooking later). Remove and set aside.
2. Deglaze & Cook Pasta:
-
In the same pot, add pasta, beef broth, BBQ sauce, honey, Worcestershire, and mustard. Stir well.
-
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer for 10-12 mins, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente.
3. Finish & Serve:
-
Stir in the steak and any juices. Cook 1-2 mins more to warm through.
-
Garnish with cheese, green onions, or cilantro.
💡 Pro Tips:
✔ Extra smoky? Add ½ tsp liquid smoke or chipotle powder.
✔ Veggie boost? Toss in bell peppers or spinach with the pasta.
✔ Creamy twist? Stir in ¼ cup heavy cream at the end.
