One-Pot Smoky Honey BBQ Steak Pasta

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 20 mins

A quick, flavor-packed one-pot wonder with tender steak, al dente pasta, and a sticky-sweet smoky BBQ sauce! Perfect for weeknights.

🥩 Ingredients:

Steak & Seasoning:

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

Pasta & Sauce:

  • 8 oz penne or rigatoni (or gluten-free pasta)

  • 3 cups beef broth (or water + 1 bouillon cube)

  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (smoky or honey-flavored)

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

Toppings (Optional):

  • Shredded cheddar cheese

  • Sliced green onions

  • Fresh cilantro

🔥 Instructions:

1. Sear the Steak:

  • Toss steak with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot/Dutch oven over high heat.

  • Sear steak for 2 mins per side until browned (it’ll finish cooking later). Remove and set aside.

2. Deglaze & Cook Pasta:

  • In the same pot, add pasta, beef broth, BBQ sauce, honey, Worcestershire, and mustard. Stir well.

  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer for 10-12 mins, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente.

3. Finish & Serve:

  • Stir in the steak and any juices. Cook 1-2 mins more to warm through.

  • Garnish with cheese, green onions, or cilantro.

💡 Pro Tips:

✔ Extra smoky? Add ½ tsp liquid smoke or chipotle powder.
✔ Veggie boost? Toss in bell peppers or spinach with the pasta.
✔ Creamy twist? Stir in ¼ cup heavy cream at the end.

🍴 Why You’ll Love It:

  • Zero pasta-draining—the starch thickens the sauce!

  • Sweet + smoky + savory in every bite.

  • Leftovers taste even better (the flavors meld!).

Pair with garlic bread and a crisp salad! Want it spicier? Add red pepper flakes! 🌶️
