Banana Bread Cake

šŸŒ Banana Bread Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripeĀ bananas, mashed (about 1½ cups)
  • 2 cupsĀ all-purpose flour
  • 1 tspĀ baking soda
  • ½ tspĀ baking powder
  • ½ tspĀ salt
  • 1 tspĀ cinnamon
  • ½ tspĀ nutmegĀ (optional)
  • ½ cupĀ unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cupĀ brown sugar
  • ¼ cupĀ granulated sugar
  • 2 largeĀ eggs, room temp
  • 1 tspĀ vanilla extract
  • ½ cupĀ sour creamĀ orĀ Greek yogurtĀ (for moisture)
  • ½ cupĀ chopped walnutsĀ orĀ chocolate chipsĀ (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prep – Preheat oven toĀ 350°F (175°C). Grease & line aĀ 9×9-inch square panĀ orĀ 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Dry Mix – Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Wet Mix – Cream butter + sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, mashed bananas, and sour cream.
  4. Combine – Gently fold dry ingredients into wet mix. Stir in nuts/chocolate chips if using.
  5. Bake – Pour batter into pan. BakeĀ 40-50 minsĀ until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ozĀ cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cupĀ unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cupsĀ powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tspĀ vanilla extract
  • Pinch ofĀ salt

Instructions:

  1. Beat – Whip cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Sweeten – Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Beat until fluffy (add 1 tbsp milk if too thick).
  3. Frost – Spread over cooled cake. Optional: Top withĀ sliced bananas,Ā walnuts, or aĀ cinnamon sprinkle.
