Air Fryer Whole Chicken (Rotisserie-Style) 🍗✨

Serves: 4–6
Prep Time: 10 mins (+ optional 1–12 hrs marinating)
Cook Time: 50–60 mins

Enjoy juicy, fall-off-the-bone chicken with crispy, golden skin—no rotisserie needed! Your air fryer does all the work.


Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken (3–4 lbs), giblets removed

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

  • 1½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)

(For extra flavor, add lemon slices or fresh herbs inside the cavity!)


Instructions:

1. Prep the Chicken:

  • Pat the chicken very dry with paper towels (key for crispy skin!).

  • Rub with olive oil, then sprinkle evenly with all spices.

  • (Optional) Marinate for 1 hour (or overnight) for deeper flavor.

2. Air Fry:

  • Place chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket.

  • Cook at 360°F (180°C) for 30 mins.

  • Flip the chicken breast-side up, then cook 20–30 mins more until internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part.

3. Rest & Serve:

  • Let rest 10 mins before carving.

  • Serve with roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, or shred for tacos/salads!

✔ Crispiest Skin? Spatchcock (butterfly) the chicken for even cooking.
✔ No Oil? Use mayo instead for ultra-crisp skin.
