🥓🍔 Bacon Cheeseburger Burrito – Stuffed with Beef

🍽️ Servings: 4 large burritos

⏱️ Total Time: ~35 minutes

📝 Ingredients

🔥 For the Beef Mixture:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or lean)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, adds depth)

🧀 Other Ingredients:

  • 4 large flour tortillas (10–12 inch)
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, chopped or halved
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)
  • 4 slices American cheese (optional but classic)
  • ½ cup diced onions (raw or sautéed — your choice)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1–2 tomatoes, diced
  • Dill pickle slices (or chopped pickles)
  • Optional: burger sauce or extra ketchup/mayo/mustard

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the Bacon

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy.
  • Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Drain grease, but save 1 tsp for flavor if desired.

2. Cook the Beef

  1. In the same skillet, add ground beef. Break apart and cook until browned.
  2. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder.
  4. Stir in ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Simmer for a minute or two until thick and well coated.

3. Warm the Tortillas

  • Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft and pliable (10–15 seconds).

4. Assemble the Burritos

For each burrito:

  1. Lay tortilla flat.
  2. Add a layer of shredded cheese (helps melt under heat).
  3. Spoon on ¼ of the beef mixture.
  4. Top with bacon, chopped onions, pickles, tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
  5. Add a slice of American cheese or more shredded cheddar.
  6. Add burger sauce or condiments, if using.

5. Roll & Grill the Burritos

  • Fold in the sides, then roll up tightly from the bottom.
  • Optional but recommended: Grill seam-side down in a hot skillet with a little butter or oil until golden and crispy (2–3 minutes per side).

6. Serve

  • Serve with fries, onion rings, or a side salad.
  • Dipping sauces: ketchup, ranch, spicy mayo, or barbecue sauce.

🍔 Burger Sauce (Optional)

Mix:

  • ¼ cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp relish or chopped pickles
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of paprika
