Here’s a delicious and easy recipe for Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents — a super popular appetizer or breakfast treat. Think flaky, buttery crescent rolls filled with creamy, savory sausage filling.

🥐 Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 1 package (8 oz / 225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (like Pillsbury)
  • Optional:
    • 1/4 tsp garlic powder or onion powder
    • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1 tbsp chopped chives or green onions

🔪 Instructions:

1. Cook the Sausage

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked.
  • Break it up into crumbles as it cooks. Drain excess grease.

2. Mix the Filling

  • In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese.
  • (Optional) Add garlic powder, cheddar cheese, or green onions if desired.
  • Mix until fully combined and creamy.

3. Prepare the Crescents

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  • Place a spoonful (about 1 tbsp) of the sausage-cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.

4. Roll and Bake

  • Roll up each crescent starting at the wide end and tucking in the filling.
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment or sprayed with nonstick spray.
  • Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until golden brown.

🧄 Tips:

  • Let them cool for a few minutes before serving — the filling gets hot!
  • These freeze and reheat well, so they’re great for meal prep or party planning.
  • Add a little hot sauce or red pepper flakes to the sausage mix if you like heat.

🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve warm for breakfast, brunch, or as an appetizer.
  • Great with scrambled eggs or a fruit salad for breakfast.
  • For parties, serve with a side of ranch or honey mustard for dipping.
