4-Ingredient Mosaic Jelly (Rainbow Jelly Dessert)

Posted on July 1, 2025

A stunning, vibrant jelly dessert made with just 4 ingredients—no baking, no fuss! Perfect for kids, parties, or a fun summer treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 packs (3 oz each) of flavored gelatin (different colors/flavors, e.g., strawberry, lime, blue raspberry, orange)

  • 4 cups boiling water (1 cup per flavor)

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 packets (0.25 oz each) unflavored gelatin (like Knox)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Colored Gelatin Layers

  • Dissolve each gelatin pack separately in 1 cup boiling water.

  • Pour each into a small square dish (8×8-inch works well).

  • Chill for 2+ hours or until firm, then cut into small cubes.

2. Make the Milky Gelatin Mixture

  • Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over ½ cup cold water, let sit for 5 mins.

  • Heat 1½ cups water until hot (not boiling), then whisk in the bloomed gelatin until dissolved.

  • Stir in sweetened condensed milk, then let cool slightly (10 mins).

3. Assemble the Mosaic Jelly

  • In a large dish (9×13-inch or decorative mold), mix the colored gelatin cubes.

  • Pour the milky gelatin mixture over the cubes, filling all gaps.

  • Chill 4+ hours or overnight until fully set.

4. Slice & Serve

  • Cut into squares or fun shapes to reveal the “mosaic” effect!

Tips for Success

🌈 Use bright colors for the best visual effect (e.g., red, green, blue, yellow).
❄️ Chill each layer thoroughly to prevent colors bleeding.
🍬 Make it vegan with coconut milk + agar-agar instead of condensed milk/gelatin.
🍹 Add fruit (like diced mango or berries) for extra texture!

Why You’ll Love It

✅ Only 4 ingredients
✅ No baking, no oven
✅ Kids adore it (and adults too!)

Perfect for birthdays, potlucks, or a fun DIY dessert bar!
