Ham and Cheese Crackers

These savory, crispy, and addictive crackers are loaded with real ham and cheese—perfect for snacking, lunchboxes, or party appetizers!


Ingredients

  • 1½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • ½ tsp paprika (for smokiness)

  • ½ cup (1 stick / 115g) cold butter, cubed

  • 1 cup (100g) finely shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup (75g) finely diced ham (or cooked bacon!)

  • 3-4 tbsp ice water

*(Makes ~40-50 crackers)*


Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. In a food processor, pulse flour, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.

  2. Add cold butter and pulse until crumbly.

  3. Mix in cheddar and ham until combined.

  4. Drizzle in ice water, 1 tbsp at a time, until dough comes together.

2. Chill & Roll

  1. Shape dough into a log (2″ diameter) or flatten into a disk. Wrap in plastic and chill 30+ minutes.

  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

  3. Slice dough into ¼-inch thick rounds (or roll out and cut into squares).

3. Bake

  1. Arrange on baking sheet, leaving space between.

  2. Bake 15-18 minutes until golden and crisp.

  3. Cool completely—they’ll crisp up more as they cool!


Tips for Success

✔ Keep butter cold for flaky texture.
✔ Finely dice ham to prevent crumbling.
✔ Store airtight for up to 1 week (if they last that long!).
