Ingredients

1½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour

½ tsp salt

½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

½ tsp paprika (for smokiness)

½ cup (1 stick / 115g) cold butter, cubed

1 cup (100g) finely shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup (75g) finely diced ham (or cooked bacon!)

3-4 tbsp ice water

Instructions
1. Make the Dough

In a food processor, pulse flour, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.

Add cold butter and pulse until crumbly.

Mix in cheddar and ham until combined.

Drizzle in ice water, 1 tbsp at a time, until dough comes together.
2. Chill & Roll

Shape dough into a log (2″ diameter) or flatten into a disk. Wrap in plastic and chill 30+ minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

Slice dough into ¼-inch thick rounds (or roll out and cut into squares).
3. Bake

Arrange on baking sheet, leaving space between.

Bake 15-18 minutes until golden and crisp.

Cool completely—they’ll crisp up more as they cool!
