🍝 Quick Baked Lasagna Rolls

The perfect solution for lasagna cravings—without the fuss!
Individual lasagna rolls packed with cheesy, saucy goodness, ready in under an hour.

⏳ Prep Time: 20 mins | Bake Time: 25 mins | Servings: 6

📝 Ingredients:

  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente

  • 2 cups (500g) ricotta cheese

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella, divided

  • ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 cups (480ml) marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp salt & black pepper

  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Cooked spinach, sautĂŠed mushrooms, or ground beef

🔥 Step-by-Step Instructions:

1️⃣ Prep the Noodles:

  • Cook lasagna noodles al dente (1-2 mins less than package instructions). Drain, rinse with cold water, and lay flat on a baking sheet (to prevent sticking).

2️⃣ Make the Filling:

  • In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  • (Optional: Stir in cooked spinach or browned meat for extra flavor!)

3️⃣ Assemble the Rolls:

  • Spread ½ cup marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • On each noodle, spread 3 tbsp ricotta mixture evenly. Roll up tightly and place seam-side down in the dish.

4️⃣ Bake to Perfection:

  • Top rolls with remaining 1½ cups marinara sauce and 1 cup mozzarella.

  • Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 mins. Uncover, bake 5 more mins until bubbly and golden.

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and extra Parmesan.

🌟 Why You’ll Love This:

✅ No layering stress—just roll and bake!
✅ Portion-controlled—perfect for meal prep or picky eaters.
✅ Customizable—swap fillings to your taste.

💡 Pro Tips:

  • Gluten-free? Use GF lasagna noodles.

  • Make ahead: Assemble rolls (unbaked) and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.

  • Freezer-friendly: Wrap unbaked rolls individually and freeze for up to 3 months.

Serving Suggestion: Pair with garlic bread and a crisp salad! 🥗🍞

Fun Fact: These rolls are inspired by “rotolo di pasta,” an Italian dish where pasta sheets are rolled with fillings—but our version is way faster! ⚡

Want a lighter version? Substitute ricotta with cottage cheese or tofu blend! 😊
