Million Dollar Pound Cake 💵🍰

This legendary Southern-style pound cake is rich, buttery, and melts in your mouth—worth every penny of its name!


📝 Ingredients

  • 3 cups (600g) granulated sugar

  • 3 cups (690g) unsalted butter, softened (6 sticks!)

  • 6 large eggs, room temperature

  • 4 cups (480g) all-purpose flour, sifted

  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp almond extract (optional, but magical)


🍴 Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).

  • Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan or tube pan.

2. Cream Butter & Sugar

  • In a stand mixer, beat butter and sugar for 5–7 mins until light and fluffy.

3. Add Eggs

  • Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.

4. Alternate Dry/Wet

  • Mix in flour and milk in 3 parts:

    • Start and end with flour.

  • Stir in vanilla and almond extract.

5. Bake

  • Pour batter into the pan. Tap to remove air bubbles.

  • Bake 1 hour 15 mins–1 hour 30 mins, until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Tip: Cover loosely with foil if browning too fast.

6. Cool & Serve

  • Let cool 20 mins in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.

  • Slice and enjoy plain, with fresh berries, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
