Garlic Butter Salmon & Shrimp 🧈🐟🍤🍋

Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 12 mins | Total Time: 17 mins
Servings: 2

Ingredients

Main:

  • 1 salmon fillet (6–8 oz), skin-on or off

  • 8–10 large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tail-on for presentation)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (about ½ lemon)

  • ½ tsp paprika (smoked or sweet)

  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Prep the Seafood:

  • Pat salmon and shrimp dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

2. Sear the Salmon & Shrimp:

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add salmon (skin-side down if using skin) and cook 3–4 minutes until golden. Flip and cook 2–3 minutes more. Transfer to a plate.

  • In the same skillet, add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside with salmon.

3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Melt butter, then add garlic, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t let garlic burn!).

  • Stir in lemon juice and parsley.

4. Combine & Serve:

  • Return salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning sauce over them. Warm through 1 minute.

  • Garnish with extra parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Serving Suggestions

  • Pair with: Garlic mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, or a crisp green salad.

  • For a low-carb option: Serve over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice.

Why You’ll Love It:

✅ Quick & elegant – Fancy enough for date night!
✅ Bursting with flavor – Buttery, garlicky, and bright from lemon.
✅ Versatile – Swap shrimp for scallops or use all salmon.

Pro Tip: For extra depth, add 1 tbsp capers or a splash of white wine to the sauce!

Would you like a creamy variation (with a splash of heavy cream)? 😊
