Ingredients:

1 cup diced dried apples (or ½ cup applesauce for a smoother texture)

1 cup caramel bits (or 10 oz soft caramels, melted)

Instructions:

Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.

Cook Fudge Base:

In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, brown sugar, butter, and evaporated milk.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches 234°F (soft-ball stage) on a candy thermometer (~10–12 mins).
