Posted on April 26, 2025

Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet 🍗🧈🔥

Creamy, smoky, and slightly sweet—just like the restaurant’s famous dish, but made in one skillet in under 30 minutes!

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 25 mins
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs), pounded to even thickness

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • ¼ cup (½ stick) unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 tsp honey

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ cup chicken broth (or white wine for extra flavor)

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

(Optional: ½ tsp cayenne for heat, or 1 tbsp lemon juice for brightness!)

Instructions

1. Season & Sear the Chicken

  1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5-6 mins per side until golden and cooked through (165°F internal temp). Remove and set aside.

2. Make the Honey Butter Sauce

  1. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter, honey, and chicken broth to the skillet.

  2. Whisk until butter melts and sauce thickens slightly (2-3 mins).

3. Glaze & Serve

  1. Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Simmer for 1-2 mins.

  2. Garnish with parsley and extra cracked black pepper.

Serving Suggestions

🍽️ Pair with:

  • Mashed potatoes (to soak up the sauce!)

  • Roasted green beans or asparagus

  • A warm roll (Texas Roadhouse-style!)

Why You’ll Love It

✔ Copycat flavor—just like the restaurant’s famous dish.
✔ Weeknight easy—ready in 25 mins with pantry staples.
✔ Versatile—swap chicken for shrimp or pork chops.
